Join KGWO

Information for Joining KGWO:

KGWO has three terms each year, with each ending with a concert performance. Prospective members are welcome to join at any time during the term though its definitely preferred you start closer to the start of term to become familiar with the repertoire and how things work. Prospective members can attend four rehearsals at no cost to assess the orchestra and for our music director to confirm you are a good fit for the current requirements of the orchestra, which can change constantly. Maintaining an appropriate balance of players for performance is important, so if seats are filled for a particular section you can check again each term for available places.

Thursdays are our Rehearsal Night:

Join us at The Old Museum every Thursday between 7:00pm and 9:30pm for rehearsals. Doors open at 6:30pm to allow ample time for setting up. To ensure a smooth start, please arrive early so we can guide you through the rehearsal formalities.

Parking:

Parking is available at the venue, though spaces can be limited sometimes, so consider alternative options if needed.

Rehearsal Space:

We typically rehearse in the concert hall, but are occasionally in a studio due to other bookings. The friendly staff member at the door will be happy to point you in the right direction.

What to Bring:

Don't forget your instrument, a stand and feel free to bring a mug so you can join us in our mid-rehearsal supper, which is a wonderfully way to get to chat to members in a friendly environment.

Meet our Music Director:

Our Music Director, Dale Hubbard, will be available on arrival to chat with you about the joining process and answer any questions you may have.

Fees:

Our term fees are currently $165 for full membership (that's about $12 a rehearsal on average) and $50 for full time secondary or tertiary students.

KGWOへの参加について

KGWOは年間に3学期あり、それぞれの学期の終わりにはコンサートが行われます。入団希望者は学期の途中からでも参加可能ですが、レパートリーや運営に慣れるためにも、なるべく学期の初めに参加いただくことをおすすめします。入団希望者は、オーケストラの雰囲気を確認し、また音楽監督が現在のオーケストラの要件に合っているかを確認するために、4回まで無料でリハーサルに参加できます。演奏時のパートのバランスを維持することは非常に重要であるため、特定のセクションが定員に達している場合は、次の学期に再度空き状況を確認してください。

リハーサルに参加される前に、「お問い合わせフォーム」または「KGWO入団フォーム」をご記入ください。私たちが準備してお迎えできるようになります。 :-)

木曜日はリハーサルの日

毎週木曜日の午後7時から午後9時30分まで、The Old Museumでリハーサルを行っています。午後6時30分から入場可能で、準備の時間を十分に取ることができます。スムーズに開始するためにも、早めにお越しください。リハーサルの流れをご案内いたします。

駐車場

会場に駐車場がありますが、満車の場合もありますので、必要に応じて代替手段もご検討ください。

リハーサル会場

通常はコンサートホールでリハーサルを行いますが、他の予約の関係でスタジオを使用することもあります。入口にいるスタッフが会場をご案内いたします。

持ち物

楽器、譜面台を忘れずにお持ちください。また、途中の休憩時に行う軽食タイムに参加できるよう、マグカップをお持ちいただくのも大歓迎です。和やかな雰囲気の中でメンバーと交流できる良い機会です。

音楽監督 デイル・ハバード (Dale Hubbard) がリハーサルの際に皆さんをお迎えし、入団手続きやご質問に対応いたします。

会費

現在の学期ごとの会費は以下の通りです：

• 正会員：165ドル（1回あたり平均12ドル程度）

• フルタイムの高校生・大学生：50ドル
